University of Kansas Student Body President Apramay Mishra and Student Body Vice President Grant Daily visited the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC) campus on Friday, October 16th to meet with the campus’ Executive Director, Darin Beck.

President Mishra and Vice President Daily were invited to visit KLETC during a session of KU’s Task Force on Community-Responsive Public Safety. The KLETC Executive Director gave the two members of the KU Student Body a tour of the campus, which included several of the new classrooms and the Emergency Vehicle Operations Course.

“This was the first time that members of the KU Student Senate have visited the KLETC campus,” Beck said. “I think it was beneficial that our next generation of leaders were able to witness the dedication and commitment our students make to the profession of law enforcement.”

During the tour, Director Beck and the Student Body representatives discussed topics like credit programs at KLETC and law enforcement training. After the tour, Director Beck presented Mishra and Daily with KLETC challenge coins. The coins feature the KLETC badge on one side and the students’ Code of Ethics affirmation. The student body representatives presented him with a pie.
